Cookie Policy

Which cookies this site sets, what they do, and how to switch them off.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise something on your next visit — a language choice, a session, or which ads you have already been shown. Local storage does much the same job and is covered by this policy too.
Cookies this site sets
Two entries, both functional. Neither tracks you across other websites:
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
ytd_lang | Remembers the language you selected, so the site opens in it next time. | 1 year |
ytd_ads_consent | Stores your answer to the cookie banner (local storage), so you are not asked again. | Until you clear your browser data |
Advertising cookies
This site is funded by Google AdSense. When you accept the banner, Google and its partners may set cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to choose ads, limit how often you see the same one, and measure whether an ad worked. Some of those cookies are used for personalised advertising based on pages you have visited.
If you decline, no advertising code is loaded and no advertising cookie is set. The site works exactly the same; the ads are simply not there.
How to control cookies
You have three independent ways to stay in control:
- Clear this site's data in your browser to reset your banner answer and be asked again.
- Turn off personalised advertising for your Google account in Google Ad Settings.
- Block or delete cookies for individual sites, or all sites, in your browser's privacy settings.
Changes
If the cookies used here change, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
